We are developing a concept for a scalable molten salt storage system. The system has capacity from 250 MWh and up to 1 GWh of storage (and even above). The most usual deployment will be as combined heat and power. The concept also makes sense as high-temperature heat-storage in district heating systems.

Our salt storage uses a new type of salt which we will deploy using IP-protected corrosion control mechanisms. This type of salt is much better suited for the task than traditional salt, e.g. nitrate.

Our salt is up to 75 % cheaper than nitrate salts. At the same time, we need a lot less salt in out system, because our salt holds more heat per unit than nitrate salts.
